Resume Lies Are the Norm, Not the Exception:
For Those Managers Who Still Think They Can Select Applicants by Picking Good Resumes...

In days of old, when resumes were accurate (if there every was such a day)...

Maybe a bit of puffery is a good thing on a sales applicant's resume, perhaps it shows a bit of "flair." However, the evidence is overwhelming that most resumes are not worth the paper they are written on.

So if you can't use resumes as a selection strategy what do we suggest? Profiles can't be lied to. If applicants try to lie, they produce FLAG PAGE, which essentially warns you to run, don't walk.

It's a bit self serving, but our advice is stick with the Advanced Hiring System strategy for deciding who to talk with. Use resumes as back up and filler, not the primary screening tool.
